Thespian Troupe 1025 Officers 2019-20

Officers are voted into positions by their peers based on academics, leadership skills, and their passion for the Fine Arts.

Adriana Birchett is a Senior and is excited and grateful to be the 2019-20 President of Thespian Troupe 1025. She looks forward to helping the theatre program grow making it a better experience for all audience, actors, and technical crew members!  Some of her favorite roles include PHS' performances of Lady Proops in Jekyll and Hyde, Rose in Enchanted April, and Mrs. Darling/Chief Tiger Bamboo in Peter Pan Jr. at the Orem Hale Center Theater. Adri can't wait to play M'lynn in Steel Magnolias as well as Katherine in Newsies, both upcoming PHS productions in the 2019-20 show line-up.

ADRIANA BIRCHETT

Candace Holdaway was PHS Theatre’s Assistant Stage Manager last year and her Senior year she is Vice President. Hair and makeup are one of Candace’s passions.  She has been chairing the Hair & Makeup Committee for the past 4 years.  Her favorite show to work on the technical side was PCT’s 50th anniversary show of Mary Poppins.  Candace has also been performing on stage since the 5th grade.  Her favorite show to act in was Jekyll and Hyde.  Candace also competed in both acting and technical theatre this past summer at ITS as well as performing Mother in the showcased performance of Women & Wallace.  "Come and check out our shows this year! We have an amazing talented cast for all these shows.  Come and support your Drama Lions!"

John Wayne is a junior this year and is the secretary of Thespian Troupe 1025. He has been seen in plays such as Annie, Jekyll and Hyde, and Scooby-Doo just to name a few. He will be partnering along this years Vice President Candace Holdaway to direct "A Tuna Christmas". But this isn't the first time John has directed.  He helped Mr. White direct Women and Wallace this past year. John hopes everyone enjoys what the theatre program has to offer this year, and come support your #dramalions

JOHN WAYNE

Melissa Peterson is a senior this year and is a member of Payson High School's theatre ambassadors.  She has landed lead roles such as Scar from Lion King, Scooby-Doo in Scooby-Doo & Mystery Inc., and Caroline Bramble in Enchanted April. She was in Annie several years ago as an orphan and played Drake the butler and the Apple Seller in this past spring's Annie production.  Melissa played the Grandma & Wendy in the showcased production of Women & Wallace at ITS festival this past summer.

Historian

MELISSA PETERSON

Anthony is a senior and the Payson High School 2019-2020 Stage Manager. He loves being in the Payson High Stage Crew. Anthony has been in acting and or stage crew since his 5th grade year in the production of A Christmas Carol. He as been a part of many shows including, Legally Blonde jr, High School Musical 2 jr, Peter Pan jr, Les Miserables, and Annie. He is excited to be in Troop 1025.

Aeva is a junior, and in her 3rd year on the ITS Vice President’s Scholarly list.  Aeva competed at ITS in musical theatre this past summer as well as playing Victoria, Sarah, and Lily in the showcased performance of Women & Wallace.  Other past roles include Scooby-Doo, Henry V, Rose in Enchanted April, Miss Hannigan in Annie, and Shakespeare’s Lancelot Gobo.  Playing Pumbaa in Lion King Jr. has been by far her favorite role with her sidekick Goober.  Aeva is the eldest of 4 siblings and a positive example to friends and family.  She is on NHS, plays the viola, loves to dance, and lettered with the PHS varsity swim team.  Thanks to Hedgehog and Ostrich for always standing by me.

Hannah Bibler is a junior and loves to act.  Some of her previous leading roles have been Kira in Xanadu, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Daphne in Scooby-Doo, and Nina in Woman and Wallace.  Her favorite role ever  was Kira in Xanadu.  She won first place in monologues at Shakespeare competition and first place in classical scenes at State competition 2019.   Hannah competed in musical theatre and played Nina in the showcased performance of Women & Wallace this past summer at nationals.  She also sang the national anthem at the 2019 Fiesta Days Rodeo. Her love and passion for the theatre arts grows, ever increasing throughout high school.

LONDYN MCMURDIE

Caleb Morgan is a Senior and the 2019-20 Social Chair for Thespian Troupe 1025. He loves being a drama lion, as well as participating in PHS Choir in Bel Coro and Trouveres. He is involved with HOPE Squad and is an NHS Officer. Caleb has loved being in Peter Pan, Les Miserables, and Annie. He is ecstatic to be playing Crutchie in Newsies and is also excited for Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. Caleb encourages everyone to come see all the amazing shows PHS Theatre has in store for 2019-20.

Ellie as her friends call her is a sophomore and excited to be a Payson Lion.  Ellie has enjoyed theatre since a young age participating in multiple productions such as PJHS' Shakespeare competition teams, 42nd Street, and the popular PHS Les Miserables production in 2018.  She is excited to be a part of International Thespian Troupe 1025 and the amazing productions this year has in store!
